Definition of attractant

Powders, gels, pastes, oils, and other compounds made with natural or artificial scents and oils used on their own or applied to lures and baits to attract fish. Used primarily in freshwater, some are designed to attract fish to an area while others are designed to attract fish to a lure or bait.
