Definition of baitcast rod
Baitcast rods are designed to go with baitcasting reels. The guides on these rods are on top of the rod because the reel sits on top of the rod. The rods are usually 6-7’5 ft long with some exceptions. They are fast action and usually a little more stiff to whip the lure out. This style of rod is used more with lures than anything because of the control it gives an angler.
