Definition of salmon eggs

Eggs from salmonoids which are highly sought after bait for other salmon and trout in particular. Before being a useful bait when harvested fresh, salmon eggs must be cured in order to maintain their structure to stay on a hook. Artificial salmon eggs are also popular baits.
